Welcome to the Town of Balkan
Balkan Township consists of two township areas (numbers 58 and 59) has a total area of about 65 square miles, and has 45 miles of roads. The City of Chisholm and Independent School District #695 are within the township boundaries. Minnesota Highway 73 runs north and south through most of Balkan.
Balkan Residents
Balkan is looking for a high-speed internet provider willing to provide internet service to our community.
Our first step is to gather information from as many residents as possible. There are 2 surveys we need you to complete. One will provide information about currently available internet speeds. This will help us obtain grant funding. The second will obtain information about the demand for high-speed internet in our community. This will help us find a service provider willing to invest in our community.
